This is my first post for the ntsc.no domain,\u00a0 I&#8217;ll start up with a easy modification of the z64, which i should have done years ago, but took me the 2 minutes of work tonight :)<\/p>\n<p>The unit,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-12\" title=\"DSCF9055\" src=\"http:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/DSCF9055-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"DSCF9055\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/DSCF9055-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/DSCF9055-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>FACT: The z64 hardware revision 3.0 have one major fault; over heating! Thanks to the schweino at dextrose, this issue was resolved by a simple and nifty hack of the motherboard. Shorting leg B and E on the transistor Q3, and scratching off some of the surface on the trace, attaching that to the diode you can see in the picture.<\/p>\n<p>The un-modded board,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-14\" title=\"unmodded\" src=\"http:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/unmodded-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"unmodded\" width=\"400\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/unmodded-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/unmodded-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And after the modification is complete,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-23\" title=\"closeup\" src=\"http:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/closeup-300x229.jpg\" alt=\"closeup\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/closeup-300x229.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/closeup.jpg 756w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can &#8220;easily&#8221; see the tiny red wire, but due to my sucky sucky camera, i cant get a close up shot of the board (DAMN THOSE SMALL CAMS!!!!)<\/p>\n<p>And everything boots up nicely!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-17\" title=\"complete mod on screen\" src=\"http:\/\/dobrajazz.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/DSCF9063-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"complete mod on screen\" width=\"512\" height=\"382\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pretty small modification, but its my first blog post and please contact me for any information about it, if needed!<\/p>\n<p>-pixl0r<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;ello people!
